Welcome to the Anthracite Bicycle Coalition Website (ABCNEPA.org)

Our goal is to increase community awareness of the enjoyment and benefits cycling can provide while promoting  and encouraging safe cycling as a healthy, fun sport and means of transportation.

Anthracite Bicycle Coalition is a fully volunteered non-profit organization, with a long history of community engagement. 

Founding members of the organization met while volunteering at the Heritage Valley Bike Tour, a yearly event bringing hundreds of cyclists and their families to Northeastern Pennsylvania for a day to experience our new trails.

The organization continues to engage in regular bicycle safety events, for example, bicycle and helmet giveaways, organized rides, support for local races, the Lackawanna Heritage Valley bike share program as well as trail development and maintenance.

ABCNEPA is comprised of hundreds of local cyclists from throughout the region and is currently experiencing strong support from local private and public institutions to promote the numerous benefits cycling offers to the region.
